At Blueline, we strive to be a resource for ideas that we feel will benefit the design and print community. We are fortunate to get a wide angle view as we interact with businesses across North America throughout the year. One of the themes we often promote is that our industry should not fear digital means of communication but embrace it and collectively learn how to utilize it with print to create a comprehensive marketing plan. We also want to promote thought leadership and awareness of ways to improve your professional skill set.
Modern Litho, a printing company, headquartered in Missouri’s capital city of Jefferson City, has done a great job embracing digital technology and print.
Modern Litho’s website is sharp graphically, has images of the folks who actually work there, utilizes video to make them more familiar and displays their comprehensive social media platform at the very top of their landing page. The unspoken message from the way the website is constructed is “we’re ready to communicate, whatever channel you are on.”
Inspired Momentum is Modern Litho’s quarterly magazine. The publication features articles on marketing tips, trends and interviews with experienced leaders. Recent issues shared ideas on how to make the most of tradeshow investments, discussion of how to utilize various social media channels to market your brand and how to jazz up your webinar. This magazine is providing valuable content for Modern Litho’s customers, potential customers and is a live sample of what Modern can produce.
A unique offering available through Modern Litho is something they have coined Creativedge™. It is Adobe® InDesign training presented by a certified expert instructor.
“Print and great design go hand-in-hand. When a piece is designed beautifully and functionally, you realize the full potential of printed communication. At Modern Litho, we have a culture of learning and often serve in a mentor role for our clients when it comes to file preparation. It was a natural progression for us to continue that tradition and extend valuable education to our clients and the graphic design community through a structured program. And thus, Creativedge was born, “ remarks Cassandra Atchison, the company’s Marketing Director.
Creativedge™ is available through four platforms: Live Virtual Classroom, In-seat at Modern Litho in Jefferson City, on-site for individuals or groups and a customized learning format that can be tailored to your requirements.
Creativedge™ is continuing education for the creative professional. It is practical training in industry standard Adobe® programs for the novice to the experienced professional looking to keep up with the latest trends. The class offers training on the how to’s , shortcuts and updates of InDesign software.
Enrollees can expect insights from a certified trainer, and if the learning is taking place in a group setting there is the added benefit of peer-to-peer networking and mentoring.
